Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Recipe By: Jan Lester "This was handed down by my Grandmother. You can use any kind of fruit filling. If using cherry, pie filling can be substituted with 2 cups fresh cherries." Ingredients 1/2 cup butter 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup milk 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling Directions Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Place butter or margarine in a 9x13 inch baking dish and set on oven rack to melt. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and baking powder. Stir in milk. Remove baking dish from oven as soon as butter or margarine is melted. Pour flour mixture into dish, but DO NOT STIR. Pour fruit evenly into pan, and DO NOT STIR. Raise oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Chicken With Juniper Berries Recipe

Juniper berries are not really berries at all, but a female seed cone and are wonderful with birds and game. They give sharp  clean taste to the dish, not to mention are used to flavour gin! Serves 4 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 tablespoon/15ml olive oil 1 small onion, minced 1/2 teaspoon/2ml sea salt 1/2 teaspoon/2ml black pepper, freshly ground 2 teaspoon/10ml olive oil 1 cup/250ml chicken broth 2 cups/500ml dry white wine 1 tablespoon/15ml juniper berries, lightly crushed 3 sprigs fresh thyme In large skillet on medium high heat add half of the olive oil. Swirl to coat the pan. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove to a dish. Add additional olive oil and the onion. Cook until lightly golden (about 4 minutes). Pour in the chicken broth, wine, juniper berries, and fresh thyme sprigs to the skillet. Bring mixture to a boil until the sauce has reduced by half (3-5 minutes). Chorizo with Corn, Cherry Tomatoes, and Zucchini Recipe

Easy 4th of July Quick Patriotic Petit Fours

Here's a fun and quick treat for your 4th of July festivities. 4 ingredients is  all you need. 1) Golden Oreos 2) Sliced strawberries 3) Blueberries 4) White Candy melts or white chocolate (Melted and placed in a Ziploc ready to pipe.) Just a few easy steps is all it takes. 1) Split each Golden Oreo apart. On the top half, add some of the melted white chocolate and stack the cookie underneath the bottom half. 2) Place one sliced strawberry and one blueberry on top of each cookie. 3) Pipe white chocolate 'zig zag style' across the fruit. This holds the fruit on the cookie. Done! Place in refrigerator until ready to serve. Just in time for tomorrow's grilling frenzy - Grilled Goat Cheese Stuffed Jalapeños Recipe If you find tha t the pepper you’ve bit into is just too hot for your tongue, cool it off with sour cream, milk, cheeses, or cream cheese. That’s the trick, and the reason why cheese is so often paired with hot chiles. oil for grill 8 jalapeño peppers 4 ounces/113g goat cheese ¼ teaspoon/1ml smoked paprika or ground cumin Garlic salt or sea salt and freshly ground black pepper Prepare an indoor or outdoor grill.
